BDV – Biochar Digital Verification
Carbon removal buyers and registries want proof of every tonne, and biochar must be at or below 40 °C when packed for shipping. BDV systems meter, weigh, moisture-test, inoculate and bag your char, logging every batch into a tamper-evident digital record.

Meter, test, inoculate, bag and record every tonne
The digital record is only as good as the hardware behind it. BDV combines the augers, pumps, flow meters, weighing and sensors with the data logger, so every figure in the report is measured, not estimated.

Metered feed
Metering augers or a screw weigher deliver char at a measured, steady rate.
Moisture and temperature
Inline sensors record moisture and packing temperature for every batch and bag.
Inoculation
Dosing pumps and flow meters charge the char at the fill head, with every dose logged.
Weighing
Load cells under the bag frame check every bag to a set weight.
Digital verification (dMRV)
Every bag gets a timestamped record: weight, moisture, temperature and dose, exported for validation, customers and carbon removal reporting.

The model number is the maximum dry-char throughput in kg/h at the stated accuracy. ZEDE matches are indicative and depend on feedstock.

What does the model number mean?
It is the maximum dry-char throughput in kg/h at the stated accuracy. Sizes run from BDV-50 to BDV-1000, with larger systems built to order. At 30 % moisture a BDV-500 carries about 714 kg/h of wet char.
What does it record?
Mass, moisture, temperature and inoculant dose for every bag and batch, timestamped and stored in a tamper-evident log you can export for audit and carbon removal reporting.
Why does packing temperature matter?
Since January 2026, biochar shipped under UN 1361 must be at or below 40 °C when packed, with the temperature recorded. BDV checks and logs it for every bag.
Can it retrofit to an existing line?
Yes. The metering, sensing and logging fit existing augers, hoppers and bagging frames.
